Standen House is a Canadian wholesale import and distribution company, specializing in unusual and thoughtfully selected gifts.
We ship to independent gift and card stores across the country, and in addition we supply specialty stores dealing in toys and educational material.
Standen House was established in 1972 by Ruth Snider, an artist, speaker, writer and pastor.
In 1997 the direction of the business was taken over by her daughter Ruth-Lynne, but Mrs Snider continued to be involved, although she is no longer engaged in the day-to-day running of the business.
For Mrs Snider, Standen House has become an expression of her own considerable artistic abilities and Standen House became well known for its limited edition and character Teddy Bears.
When Ruth-Lynne took over, she concentrated on broadening the range of product offerings, but also accentuating the firm’s reputation for quality and service, and for providing a personal response to the needs of its individual customers.
